February 27, 2013 update: Based on witness accounts, the N.Y. Times is reporting that this story is not accurate and the alleged victim was not in fact the victim of a mugging.
The N.Y. Times reported today on a rather disturbing robbery and asault on Fort Washington Avenue and 190th Street. The article can be viewed in the paper or online edition.
The 34th Precinct Community Council will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 7:00pm at Yeshiva University, Rubin Hall, 2501 Amsterdam (@ West 185 Street). The commanding officer of the precinct will provide a report on recent crimes and this is a chance to question him about this particular incident.
