If you're asking why I didn't get a better picture, it's because I really didn't want to get to close. That man in the white shirt far in the distance is the john. The prostitute was standing behind the tree, barely clothed.

Um... how do you know, since you didn't want to get closer than this, that this is what was going on??
ReplyDeleteAlso, it doesn't really seem to be an "eyesore" exactly. At least, any more so than numerous people walking up and down Ft Washington and St Nicholas arguing with invisible people on their cellphones.
I walked past the two individuals. There was no doubt about the situation.
ReplyDeleteOne of the points of "eyesore of the week" is to draw attention to a problem before it becomes a major neighborhood concern. I have definitely seen men taking prostitutes down to the park at the foot of the bridge in the past. Since police officers read this blog from time to time--hopefully they will now be aware of this issue.
