Hudson View Gardens seeks entries for juried art show

Open to all artists residing in northern Manhattan (north of 125th Street) and in the Bronx, the Hudson View Gardens (HVG) Art Show is seeking entries. The deadline for submission is September 28th. The Thirteenth Annual HVG art show will be held in the Hudson View Gardens Lounge, in Washington Heights, near the Cloisters. The exhibition’s opening reception is November 5th, and the show will run until November 16th.

Artists and crafts-people in all media (*except video, performance and installation) are invited to apply via www.hvgartsgroup.com or HVG Arts Group, 116 Pinehurst Ave, New York, NY 10033. The jury considers work on all media except video, performance and installation. High quality crafts are also considered.

Upper Manhattan’s oldest art show continues to feature artists in traditional and new media. A broad range of paintings, photos, sculpture, assemblage and prints by established and emerging artists, working traditionally and experimentally, is exhibited and sold.

The show offers a unique venue for artists from two parts of the city that suffer from the lack of exhibition space. The show is installed in the ballroom with crystal chandeliers in one of New York’s oldest co-ops, within walking distance of the George Washington Bridge and The Cloisters.
