Sherman Creek Stewards
On July 9 from 11:30 to 1:30, join in a series of volunteer events at NYRP’s Sherman Creek Campus in Northern Manhattan. Volunteers will help plant, beautify and maintain the natural areas and gardens of Swindler Cove, Sherman Creek and Highbridge Park.
Location: The picnic benches by the Swindler Cove Park building.
Directions: Take the A train to Dyckman/200th Street. Walk east on Dyckman Street, cross the Harlem River Driveway/10th Avenue, and enter the Bike Path/Esplanade in front of P.S. 5. The entrance to Swindler Cove Park is on the right.
Come prepared: Please dress in long pants and work clothes. Work gloves, tools and water will be provided. Children are welcome with the supervision of an adult.
There is room for a limited number of volunteers at each event, so please pre-register by contacting Leah Kragh at volunteer@nyrp.org or dial (212) 333-2552.
