Jewish High Holidays in Hudson Heights

Apologies for the belated nature of this post....

For those seeking to celebrate the Jewish High Holidays in Hudson Heights, there are several congregations to consider.

Temple Beth Am
551 Fort Washington Ave @ 185th (Social Hall at Hebrew Tabernacle)
Reform and progressive yet traditional; very family friendly. Led by Rabbi Wenig who is known for her erudite and entertaining sermons. You can read a profile of her in the New York Times (2009)
here. The congregation also has a lovely choir led by Cantorial Soloist Beverly Myers, and Pianist David Deschamps. [These are the services that I attend].
Erev Rosh Hashana - 6:30PM, Wednesday 9/28
Rosh Hashana - 9:30AM, Thursday 9/29 followed by a pot-luck lunch @ 1:30PM
Kol Nidrei - 6PM, Friday 10/7
Yom Kippur - 9:30AM, Saturday 10/8, with Mincha/Yizkor/Nei'lah at approx. 4PM
Hebrew Tabernacle

There is also the Fort Tryon Jewish Center located on Ft. Washington across from Bennett Park, but they are undergoing construction and according to their website, are also meeting at Hebrew Tabernacle.
